Imogene Alexander, daughter of the late David Wilson and Connie Proffer Wilson, was born on Dec. 12, 1924, in Puxico and died at the Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Elberton, Ga,m on Oct. 3, 2010, at the age of 85.

Mrs. Alexander was of the Methodist faith, a former employee with Allstate Insurance Company, and a former resident of Dexter, currently residing in Georgia.

On Dec. 27, 1945, she was united in marriage to Carl Ernest Alexander in Seattle, Wash. Mr. Alexander preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2006.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Alexander and wife Joyce of Franklin, Tenn.; one daughter, Carla Huber and husband Gerald of Elberton, Ga.; one brother, Bert Wilson of Whitewater; five grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Berry Funeral Home in Elberton, Ga.

Graveside service and interment will be held on Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Rev. Norman Ogles officiating.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home is in charge of the graveside arrangements.
