Bonda Kinslow

Bonda Kinslow, daughter of the late William Dewey Ridings and Willie Mae Shands Ridings, was born on Dec. 31, 1940, in Silverdale and died lon Oct. 10, 2010, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter at the age of 69.

Mrs. Kinslow was a former registered nurse at various hospitals and nursing homes; music was a major part of her life. She was a private music teacher and enjoyed playing the piano and organ at various churches. Bonda was a resident of Dexter.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Eric "Rick" Young of Dexter; two daughters, Randi Young of Memphis, Tenn., and Lynn Young McGraw of Fayetteville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Greg Martin, Katrina Gamel and husband Justin, and Holly McGraw; one great-granddaughter, Faith Bidatsch.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Ridings; and by one sister Lavice Johnson.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 10-10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010. Funeral services will then be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Jim Hoyt officiating.

Interment will follow at the Silverdale Cemetery in Hornersville.
