James T. Sanders, son of the late Benjamin Thomas and Eva Mae Schumpert Sanders, was born in Parma on July 8, 1937, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Oct. 13, 2010, at the age of 73.
Mr. Sanders had lived in Mississippi and St. Louis for a short time and had lived in the Bloomfield area most of his life. He was retired and had worked at Nestle-Purina near Bloomfield. He was a past member of the Eagles Aerie in Advance.
On May 5, 1956, he was married to Eveline Ruth Baremore. She preceded him in death on June 26, 1999.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, James, Jr. and Faye Sanders of Bloomfield; two daughters and son-in-law, Sharon LaDawn and Smokey Moore, and Vickie Lynn Sanders, all of Bloomfield; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, T. J. Sanders of Bloomfield and Charles Sanders of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Katherine Baker of Joplin and Beatrice Zuck of Dexter. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, Scott Baremore Sanders.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, after 10:30 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at 12 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Charles Fitts of Calhoun City, Miss., and Rev. James Fitts of Savannah, Tenn., officiating.
Interment will be in the North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
