Julius P. "Jud" Bostic

Julius P. "Jud" Bostic, son of the late Ben and Catherine Knuckles Bostic, was born in Lilbourn on Dec. 25, 1941, and died at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center on Oct. 14, 2010, at the age of 68.

Mr. Bostic had lived in Bloomfield all of his life. He had worked for 25 years at Purolator in Dexter and was a truck driver. He had attended the Church on the Rock in Morehouse and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

On May 25, 1965, he was married to Sheila Hess in Risco.

Surviving are his wife, Sheila Bostic of Bloomfield; two daughters, Paula Smith and Ashley Bostic, both of Dexter; one son, Chad Bostic of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Dylon, Aaron and Jessica Bostic all of Bloomfield; and one brother, Melvin Bostic of Sikeston. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, from 5-8 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at 12 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, and full military honors will be conducted,

Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
