Shirley Ann Fuwell

Shirley Ann Fuwell, daughter of the late Cecil Allen Stepp and Nancy Carnell Stepp, was born on Nov. 29, 1936 at Camden, Tenn., and died in the Texas County Memorial Hospital at Houston on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at the age of 73.

Mrs. Fuwell was a home-maker and resident of Houston.

She was united in marriage to Leamond Lloyd Fuwell on Aug. 25, 1956. Mr. Fuwell preceded her in death on March 21, 2009.

She is survived by one son, Gary Fuwell and wife Melinda of Houston; three daughters, Karen Evans of Dexter, Renee Powell of Licking and Tracey Weaver and husband Justin of Houston; two brothers, Rev. John Stepp of Caruthersville and Jim Stepp of Brunswick, Ga.; two sisters, Evelyn Delgado of Huachuca City, Ariz., and Jean Gauldin of Bloomfield; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Stepp and William Stepp.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12-2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010.

Funeral services were then conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Stepp and Anthony Stepp officiating.

Interment folloed in the Essex Cemetery.
