Betty Wiggins, daughter of the late Charles Thompson and Mary Alice Baker Thompson was born on July 26, 1937 in Sarasota, Fla. and died at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield, on Nov. 3, 2010 at the age of 73.

Mrs. Wiggins was a homemaker, member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter, and a former resident of Dexter.

On Sept. 2, 1954 she was united in marriage to Rev. Bobby Wiggins in Corinth, Miss. Rev. Wiggins survives in Bloomfield.

Besides her husband, other survives include two sons, Mike Wiggins of Memphis, Tenn. and Terry Wiggins of Bartlett, Tenn.; by two daughters, Cindy Wilcox of Bartlett, Tenn. and Lisa Sayre of Dexter; two brothers, Charles H. Thompson of Manchester, Tenn. and John T. Thompson of Hernando, Miss.; by one sister, Pearl Carlisle of Bartlett, Tenn.; also by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Lee Page.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday Nov. 6, 2010. Funeral services will then be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
