Larry Gene Maronay, 32, of Wappapello died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

The son of Ed and Shirley Maronay, he was born Nov. 15, 1977, in Blytheville, Ark.

Surviving are his parents, Ed and Shirley Maronay of Wappapello; three brothers, Christopher Maronay and his wife, Kim, of Dexter, Eddie Maronay and his wife, Ginger, of Wappapelo, and Steven Maronay; his grandmothers, Christiane McElyea of Kennett and Enealy Maronay of Wardell; five nephews, Gordell Maronay of Dexter, Eddie Maronay, Seath Maronay, Josh Maronay and Jonathan Maronay, all of Arkansas; an uncle, Larry Gene Dudley of Caruthersville; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Virgil McElyea of Kennett and Charles Maronay of Wardell; and an uncle, Kerry Maronay of Texas.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at the Lake Wappapello United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made to the Lake Wappapello United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Box 236, Wappapello, Mo. 63966.
