James Dale Rampley, son of the late Charles "Franklin" Rampley and Ida Lee Walker Rampley was born on Jan. 12, 1934 in Bell City and died on Nov.16, 2010 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 76.

Mr. Rampley was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict, a former employee of Stites Concrete for over 30 years, of the Baptist faith, and a resident of Bloomfield.

On June 10, 1965 he was united in marriage to Linda Pikey in Bernie. Mrs. Rampley survives of the home in Bloomfield.

Survivors include one son, James L. Rampley of Bloomfield; one step-son, Mike Guard of St. Louis; two daughters, MaLinda Dalenia Rampley of Oran and Kaye Lynn Rampley of St. Louis; one brother, Larry Rampley of Bloomfield; three sisters, Evelyn Hardin of Bloomfield, Norma Deal and Mildred Bartolo, both of Scott City; also two grandchildren, Tori Caldwell and Devenaneesh Mahale.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Rampley.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Gary Cooper and Melvin Troyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.
