He attended the Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. He retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrol in September of 1990 after 34 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a 32nd Degree Mason and a resident of Poplar Bluff.
He was united in marriage to Loretta G. Coffey on April 14, 1951 at Piggott, Arkansas and to this union four children were born. Mrs. Mouser survives of the home in Poplar Bluff.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Robert G. Mouser Jr. and wife Kimberly of Harrison, Arkansas: by one daughter, Terra Mouser of St. Louis: by one son-in-law, Bruce Hackmann of Fulton: by four grandchildren, Lindsay and Meredith Hackmann both of Columbia and Rachel and Zac Mouser of Harrison, Arkansas: by two brothers, Bill Mouser and wife Pat of St. Charles, Ralph Mouser and wife Hazel of Dexter: by one sister, Margie Hueckel of Essex.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Mouser Hackmann and by one son, Michael Gale Mouser.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Satuday in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral chapel with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
