Vicky Sperino, daughter of the late Alonzo Hammers and Brizelle Crawford King, was born on Dec. 24, 1940 at St. Louis and died in the residence of her son near Puxico, Mo. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at the age of 69.
Mrs. Sperino attended the Walker General Baptist Church near Bloomfield, Mo., a home-maker, former nurse and resident of Bloomfield.
She was united in marriage to Tony Sperino on December 10, 1963 at Collinsville, Illinois. Mr. Sperino preceded her in death on April 3, 1977.
She is survived by three sons, John Sperino of Bloomfield, and Steve Sperino and Doug Sperino, both of Puxico; two daughters, Debbie Griffin and Grace Pry, both of Bloomfield, Mo.; three brothers, Ray Hammers of Imperial, Mo., James King of Farmington, Mo., and Lew Schbert; two sisters, Phyllis Wilcox of Fenton, Mo., and Sandy Wills of Bloomfield; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Geneva Barber.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo. from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Pennington and Rev. Bob Holland officiating.
