Carl A. Fielder
Carl A. Fielder, son of the late John Austin and Jennie Elizabeth Hawkins Fielder, was born in Peach Orchard, Mo. on June 3, 1938, and died at his home in Dexter on Dec. 20, 2010, at the age of 72.

Mr. Fielder had lived in Clarkton, Mo. most of his life and spent some time in St. Louis. He was a member of the Stanfield Baptist Church in Clarkton. He was a heavy equipment operator at the Noranda Plant in New Madrid.

On Jan. 15, 1973, he was married to Carolyn Hagy in Bloomfield.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Fielder of Dexter; three sons, Wayne Fielder of Dexter, Mike Fielder of Imperial; and George Fielder of Portageville; one daughter, Terry Darby of Portageville; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Lester Fielder of DeSoto; one sister, and Virgie White of Dexter. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Henrietta Drews, one sister and five brothers.

Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Jack Allen of Clarkton officiating.

Interment will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
