Michael Shea, son of Robert Francis Shea and Pricilla Lord Shea Teeters, was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on May 20, 1954, and died at his home in Bloomfield, Mo., on Jan. 9, 2011, at the age of 56.

Mr. Shea had lived in the Southeast Missouri area the past 13 years. He had worked in Perryville at TG-USA before his health forced his retirement.

On Aug. 12, 1997, he was married to Susan Leggett in Concord, N.H.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Shea of Bloomfield; two daughters and a son-in-law, Chelsea Shea of Manchester, N.H., and Emily and Dan Bemis of Concord, N.H.; his parents, Robert Francis Shea of Sarasota, Fa., and Pricilla Teeters of Largo, Fla.; three brothers, Dennis Shea of Bloomfield, Jeff Shea of Andover, Mass., and James Teeters of Albion, Mich.; and one sister, Cindy Shea of Newton, N.H. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin and Jonathan Shea.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, after 4 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Memorial funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at 6 p.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Interment will be in New Hampshire at a later date. Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
