Frank Heitman, age 80, died Jan. 8, 2011 in Houston, Texas. He was born on Jan. 20, 1930, in Hannibal, Mo. to Benjamin Franklin Heitman and Edith Gardner Heitman . He has been a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God for 47 years.

On Aug. 26, 1950 he married Ruth Horstbrink. She preceded him in death. In the early years of their marriage, they served as missionaries to Venezuela and Puerto Rico. From 1952 until 1995 they served as pastors in St. Louis, Cassville, Advance and Dexter, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife, Bette; four children, Carol Heitman-Lucy and Linda Heitman of Cape Girardeau, Debra Heitman McKay of Dexter and Reverend Ron Heitman of Chicago; three grandchildren, Nathan McKay, Makenna and Matison Heitman and one great-grandchild, Will McKay. One daughter, Rebecca, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, from 12:30-2 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home, Dexter, Mo. Reverend Ron Heitman will officiate. Private interment will be at Dexter Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Assemblies of God World Missions Department, 1445 North Boonville, Springfield, Mo. 65802.
