Eva (Martin) Wilson, daughter of the late Isaac N. Martin and Rosa (Rollison) Martin, was born near Swinton, Mo. on Aug. 4, 1914, and died at her home in Bloomfield on Jan. 14, 2011, at the age of 96. On Dec. 30, 1933, she was married to Howard Wilson of Leora, Mo. who died on June 9, 1969.
She was the mother of 11 children, four preceding her in death. She enjoyed raising her family, singing in choir at church and playing Scrabble.
She became a Christian in July 1938, received Holy Ghost baptism and continued in the faith. She was a member of the Bible Tabernacle Church in Bloomfield.
She leaves five sons, Jesse Wilson, David Wilson, and Eli Wilson all of Bloomfield, Chesley Wilson of Dexter, Phillip Wilson of Glen Allen, Mo.; two daughters, Melba Keena and Ruth Ann McGee, both of Bloomfield; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by four sons, Francis, James, Jerry Dean and Carl Wayne Wilson; one granddaughter, Mona Renee; one grandson, Dennis Edward; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, from 5-8 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Mo.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Dudley Hamilton of Bloomfield officiating.
Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
