Richard Coburn

Richard Coburn, son of the late James Richard Coburn and Cleva Lucille Blocker Coburn, was born on Nov. 3, 1936 in Leachville, Ark., and died on Jan. 29, 2011 at his residence in Dexter, Mo., at the age of 74.

Mr. Coburn was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, a former sheet metal fabricator in St. Louis, Mo., and a resident of Dexter.

On Aug. 27, 1956, he was united in marriage to Fannie Geraldine Davis in Mississippi. Mrs. Coburn survives of the home in Dexter.

Other survivors include one son, Dr. Vincent Coburn of Dexter; one daughter, Vicki Schweiss of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Dickie Coburn of Leachville, Ark.; two sisters, Shirley Cato of Jonesboro, Ark., and Teresa Apple of Leachville, Ark.; and two granddaughters, Laura and Maddie Schweiss, both of Arlington, Texas.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from noon until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011.

Funeral services were then conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Travis Quertermous officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
