Joe H. Massey, 64, of Bloomfield, Mo., died on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011. Joe was born June 3, 1946, in Kinder, Mo. He had lived in the Bloom-field area for 36 years, and in Stoddard County all his life. He was of the Baptist faith. He was employed with Golden Cat until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed the outdoor life to include deer hunting and fishing. He is survived by one son, Jeff Massey of Essex, Mo.; one daughter, Tammy Cate of Jefferson City, Mo.; four brothers, Ron Massey of Bloomfield, Richard Massey of Springfield, Mo., Jim Massey of Exeter, Calif., and Roger Massey of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Ed Massey preceded him in death in 2009; four sisters, Velva Buehler of Advance, Mo., Mildred Looney of Odsmar, Fla., Lila Bryant of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Pansy McGee of Advance, Mo.; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and his canine companions, Zoe, Tippy and Beuford. Visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at 6 p.m. at Morgan Sifford Funeral Home in Puxico, Mo. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial followed in Fagan Cemetery.
