Bobbie Ruth McAnulty, daughter of the late Odie and Lura Faye McGarity Morphis, was born in Russell-ville, Ark. on Feb. 2, 1923, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. on Feb. 18, 2011, at the age of 88.

Mrs. McAnulty had lived in the Morehouse and Essex area most of her life. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston.

On Jan. 1, 1942 she was married to Roy Allen McAnulty in Russellville, Ark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2005.

Surviving are four sons, James McAnulty of Munford, Tenn., Ronald McAnulty of Norris City, Ill., Gary McAnulty of Milan, Tenn. and Rodger McAnulty of Grand Prairie, Texas; one daughter, Linda Miller of Sikeston, Mo., 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, H. C., E. E. and J. E. McGarity and two sisters, Lucille Bowden and Mary Atha McAnulty.

Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 after 10 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
