Mr. Mallory was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter, a veteran of the United States Army and was a resident of Dexter. He had lived at Central Gardens for 13 years before moving into Cypress Point.
He was united marriage to Etta Everhart on March 16, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. Mallory preceded him in death on June 7, 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Louise Waggoner and Doris Horn, both of Dexter; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Mallory, Arnold Mallory and Harry Mallory; three sisters, Ella Dean Shuck, Gertrude Mays and Irene Bush; and two grandchildren, Sherry Fortner and John Fortner.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bloomfield cemetery.
