Mary Ann Lee, daughter of the late James Alexander and Edna Burris Alexander was born on December 6, 1930 at Malden and departed this life in the Chaffee Nursing Center on February 26, 2011 at the age of 80.

Mrs. Lee was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, the former owner of the Dexter Dairy Queen, the former receptionist for Dr. T. L. Waddle M. D., the former Deputy Clerk for the Stoddard County Clerk's office and a resident of Jackson, formerly of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Ivan Lee on December 18, 1948 at Malden. Mr. Lee survives of the home near Jackson.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Robert Denton of Jackson: by two grandchildren: Jason Denton and wife Darcey of Willow Springs, Illinois and Justin Denton and fiance' Mary Rose Roberts of Cape Girardeau: by one great-grandson, Ryan Denton of Willow Springs, Illinois: by one brother, Jim Alexander of Fredericktown.

Visitation took place from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, February 28, 2011. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 A.M.,Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
