Charolyn Bid Miles, of Kennett, Mo., daughter of the late Charles B. Baker and Hattie Dial Baker, was born Oct. 29, 1920, in Senath, Mo., and died on Monday, March 7, 2011, at Twin Rivers Medical Center int Kennett, at the age of 90.

She served in the U.S. Navy Waves druing World War II.

Charolyn married Ottie Taylor Miles who preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1999.

Survivors include one son, Baker Miles, of Wappapello, Mo.; one daughter, Jo Miles of Kennett; four grandchildren, Adam and Chantell Miles, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Hampton Deck, of Columbia, Mo., Jordan Bradford, of Nashville, Tenn., and Abbey and Marco Parr, of Mountain Home, Ark.; one sister, Jonelle Brown, of Kennett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church in Kennett.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Carter officiating.

Burial followed in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Collier, Kevin Gamble, Reggie Walker, Doug Howard, Alvis Wheatley and Don Collins.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts or Delta Children's Home all of Kennett.
