Donald Ray Scott

Donald Ray Scott, son of the late Charles Junior Scott and Georgia Grayum Scott, was born on Feb. 22, 1949, at Poplar Bluff and died in the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on March 18, 2011 at the age of 62.

Mr. Scott was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, the truck manager for W. W. Wood Products in Dudley, a member of the Missouri Foxtrotters Association and a resident of Bloomfield.

He was united in marriage to Linda Drysdale on Dec. 4, 1970 at Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Scott survives of the home in Bloomfield.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Steven Ray Scott, Derrick Donald Scott and Brooks Justin Scott, all of Bloomfield; one daughter, Jayme Caplinger of Bloomfield; two brothers, Kenneth Charles Scott and Randy Dale Scott, both of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Sherry Graham of Poplar Bluff; 12 grandchildren: Micheal, Jessica and Caleb Scott Somers, Nathan Beaumeister, Matthew and Justin Scott, Gatan Earnest and Samantha Caplinger, Griffin and Fisher Goins, Ethan Scott and Connor Scott.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011.

Graveside services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield with Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating.
