Catherine Rodgers, daughter of the late Arthur Wilson and Verna Gibbs Wilson was born on Oct. 2, 1929 in Davis-ville, Mo. and died on April 11, 2011 at her residence in Dexter, Mo. at the age of 81.

Mrs. Rodgers was a faithful member of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter, a homemaker, and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to all.

On Dec. 6, 1947 she was united in marriage to Calvin C. Rodgers in Piggott, Ark. Mr. Rodgers preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 2001.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kenny Rodgers and Rhonda of Campbell, Mo.; by four daughters and sons-in-law, Pam Kruse and Charles, Linda McCollough and Mike, Sheila Alsup and Roger, all of Dexter, and Deborah Morgan and Mark of Springfield, Mo.; four brothers, Robert Wilson of Dixon, Mo., Edward Wilson of Wren, Ga., Loren Wilson of Essex, Mo. and James Wilson of Morgantown, Ky.; by two sisters, Anna Lois Malone of Phoenix, Ariz. and Wanda Martin of Dexter; by eight grandsons, two granddaughters; two step-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; three step-great-grandsons; and five step-great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews; also her late husband's sisters, Ethel Sheldon of Bellville, Ill., Nina Geary of Salam, Mo., and Barbara Williams of Dexter.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Ben Kruse; and by one brother, Nelson Wilson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter with Rev. Tim Russell officiating.

Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter. Funeral arrangements will be conducted by the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
