Loretta M. Duba

Friday, April 15, 2011

Loretta M. Duba, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died on Monday, April 11, 2011, at the age of 77. She was born on Jan. 7, 1934, in South Hill, Va., spent her childhood in Knoxville, Tenn., but considered Bloomfield her home after moving here more that 50 years ago.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; and one grandson, Samuel McWilliams.

She is survived by her three children, Ann (Ed) Loper, Alice (Dan) McWilliams, and Arthur Duba; four grandchildren, Courtney Howe, Nathan McWilliams, Dillon Rickman, Hailey Payne; and seven great-grandchildren.

Loretta retired from Elder Manufacturing Company in Dexter after 35 years. After retirement, she was happiest when all of her family were together with her. She loved to search the local flea markets for antique treasures.

Although she is gone, her family will hold her in their hearts, remembering her sweet smile, generous spirit, and loving heart. We love you Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma.

The family requests memorials be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.

Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, April 14, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Elliott Cemetery near Bloomfield, Mo., with Bro. Kenneth Gaines of Bloomfield officiating. Interment followed in the Elliott Cemetery.

Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield was in charge of arrangements.
