Doris Jordan, daughter of the late Charles Porter Sells and Lillian Terry Sells was born on Jan. 14, 1936 in Neelyville, Mo., and died on April 18, 2011 in Salem, Mo., at the age of 75 years.

Mrs. Jordan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, a former data processor for Purolator Filter Company in Dexter and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Bennie Joe Jordan on Dec. 19, 1953 at Poplar Bluff. Mr. Jordan preceded her in death on April 27, 2009.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Bob Geary of Salem, Mo., and Kelly and Craig Schaeffer of Atlanta, Ga,; two brothers, Bill Sells of Naylor and Harold Sells of Jackson, Mo.; four grandchildren, Zach Geary, Lindsey Geary, Emma Schaeffer and Jordan Schaeffer; and two great-grandchildren, Sophia Geary and Reese Geary.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Joe Jordan; and one sister, Betty Thornton.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 9:30 until 11 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Hunter, Mo.
