Homer Ray Levart, son of the late James A. Levart and Octa Cook Levart was born on Dec. 6, 1934 in Parma, Missouri and died on May 13, 2011 at his residence in Dexter at the age of 77.
Mr. Levart was the owner and operator of Malden Lime Company in Malden and a farmer. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. Homer enjoyed being outdoors working on his John Deere mowers , gardening, camping, horses, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was united in marriage to Pauline Parker on Dec. 28, 1957 in Hernando, Miss. Mrs. Levart survives of their home in Dexter.
|Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Cary G. Levart and wife Vanita of Essex; by two daughters, Karen S. Griffin and husband Wade of Bloomfield and Carla E. Darnell and husband Pete of Jackson; by one sister, Wanda McDonald of Malden; also by four grandchildren, Cody Levart, Justin Darnell, Clay Darnell, and Summer Griffin.|
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 5-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Kevin Eskew officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
