Amalee Blocker, daughter of the late Walter and Opal Woods Bell, was born in Grayridge, Mo., on July 22, 1941, and died at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo., on May 31, 2011, at the age of 69.
She was raised in Morehouse, Mo., and had lived most of her life in Dexter.
On May 27, 1978, she was married to Ulen Blocker in Dexter.
Surviving are her husband, Ulen Blocker of Dexter, Mo.; one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Belinda McAnally of Bloomfield, Mo.; one daughter, Donnie Allison of Dexter; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Bell; and one half-sister, Dorothy Marchant.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011, after 10 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.
Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
