Tiffanie Darlene Shipman and Nicholas Michael Grassi were married Jan. 01, 2011, at Cape Bible Chapel in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The Rev. Dan Greene performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Vickie Shipman of Malden, Mo., and the granddaughter of Lucille Shipman of Bernie, Mo. The bridegroom is the son of Kyle Rivers and Gary Grassi of Wilsonville, Ore.

Presented in marriage by her father and mother, the bride was attended by Aimee Childers, maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Madison Owens, Katie Ann Sparks, Lauren Lacopo, Sarah Lawrence and Amy Spratt, all friends of the bride, and Stephanie Shipman, cousin of the bride.

The bridegroom was attended by Kendall Magana, best man. Groomsmen were Cole Grassi, brother of the groom, Brandon Shipman, brother of the bride, Zach Johnson, Spencer Crace, Dustin Powell and Ryan Taloa, all friends of thebridegroom.

Ushers were Jon Parker Shipman, brother of the bride, and Travis Shipman, cousin of the bride. Guest table was attended by Devon Bireta, future sister-in-law of the bride.

The junior bridesmaid was Tyler Amberg and junior groom was Christian Todd, niece and nephew of the bride.

Jessica Amberg was the flower girl, niece of the bride; and Mikael Owens was the ringbearer, godson of the bride.

The reception was held at The Venue in Cape Girardeau, Mo. After a honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico, the couple are making their home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The bride is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is employed with the Scott City school district as a second grade teacher and assistant volleyball coach. The bridegroom is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. Currently he is working for the Missouri Department of Mental Health. He has accepted a position at Scott City, Mo. as assistant football coach and junior varsity baseball coach.
