Helen M. Mick, daughter of the late Thomas and Carlie Johnson, was born March 13, 1924, in Bernie, Mo., and died at the Golden Living Center in Bloom-field, Mo., on June 3, 2011, at the age of 87.

Mrs. Mick had lived in Lilbourn, Mo., before moving to the Bloomfield area in 1957. She had worked at VNA as a home care worker and was a member of the First General Baptists Church in Bloomfield, Mo.

On March 19, 1945, she was married to John H. Mick in Kingston, N.C. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2006.

Surviving are three sons, Mike Mick of Dudley, Mo., Joe Mick of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Stan Mick of Dexter, Mo.; one daughter, Karen Barton of Bloomfield, Mo.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Johnson of Cleveland, Tenn., and Herman Johnson of Jonesboro, Ark. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Hugh Michael Mick; and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, after 9 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Mo.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Mo.with Sandy Mick of Poplar Bluff officiating.

Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.
