Helen Lowrey, daughter of the late W. E. Denton and Carrie Wybark Denton was born on July 23, 1918, in New Madrid County and died in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter on June 4, 2011 at the age of 92.

Mrs. Lowrey was of the Baptist faith, a home-maker and long-time resident of Parma.

She was united in marriage to Grady P. Lowrey on Dec. 21, 1935 in New Madrid County. Mr. Lowrey preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1987.

She is survived by one son, Bob Lowrey and wife Betty of Dexter; two daughters, Sally Louise Mollineaux of O'Fallon, Mo., and Joyce Stewart and husband Travis of Parma, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Ruth Cook; one son-in-law, James Mollineaux; three brothers, W. E. Denton, Walter Denton and Bill Denton; and one sister, Lucille Blair.

Visitation were held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2011.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
