Jo Ann Cooper, daughter of the late Lawrence Jarrell and Pauline Kannady Jarrell, was born on April 11, 1936 at Aid and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on June 8, 2011 at the age of 75.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter, a 33-year employee of Brown Shoe Company in Bernie and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth Cooper on March 22, 1958 at Marks, Miss. Mr. Cooper survives of the home near Dexter.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Randy Cooper of Dexter; by one grandson, Bradley Ryan Cooper of Dexter; and by one great-grandson, Aiden Ryan Cooper of Dexter.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Carroll "Dean" Jarrell.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2011.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 3 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev.Kenneth Biggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery.
