Leona Hunt, daughter of the late Len and Clara Casey Wilburn, was born in Lavalle, Mo., on July 18, 1922, and died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Mo., on June 26, 2011, at the age of 88.

Leona had lived in Lavalle and Parma, Mo., before moving to Dexter in 1975. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter, Mo.

On Oct.10, 1942, she was married to Jr. C. Hunt in Charleston, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1988.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Tucker and Curtis Hunt, both of Dexter, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons, Doyle and Wayne Hunt; three brothers; and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, after 11 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Mo., with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter, Mo., officiating.

Interment will be in the Malden Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, Mo., with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Mo. in charge of arrangements.
