Norma Joyce Hartman, 75, of Gordonville, was born April 8, 1936 in Essex, Mo., the daughter of Roy Everett and Mildred Naomi Trotter Sifford and died at her home on July 19, 2011.

Norma was a 1954 graduate of Parma High School. Her interest, when she wasn't busy shopping and finding good deals, was traveling, reading, bird watching, frequenting the theatre and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was a wife to Nathan Hartman for 48 years. They were united in marriage on July 5, 1963.

Survivors include her husband, Nathan Hartman of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Pete Gump of O'Fallon, Mo.; daughter and son-in-law, Malinda and Howard Yard of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Langley Yard, Paxton Yard, George Gump, Emily Gump; and a brother; Don Sifford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, R.E. Sifford; nephew, Brad Rew; and sister, Linda Sifford.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Mo., with Mr. Larry Hinman officiating. Burial will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
