Jessie Bilderback, daughter of the late Jesse Locke and Arminta Smith Locke was born on May 20, 1920 in Campbell, Mo., and died on July 23, 2011 at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter at the age of 91.

Mrs. Bilderback was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter and a resident of Dexter. She loved to sew, cook and taking care of her family.

She was united in marriage to Earl C. Bilderback on Dec.22, 1951 in Piggott, Ark. Mr. Bilderback preceded her in death on March 22 , 1995.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and wife Denise Bilderback of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and husband Dean Swallows of Dexter; one brother, Charles Locke of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren, Jerod and wife Amy Swallows of Puxico, Jeremy Swallows of Dexter, Brett Bilderback of Columbia, Mo., Michelle and husband Brandon Willis of Columbia, Mo., Michael and wife Bobbie Bilderbackof Ashland, Mo., Christopher Bilderback of Columbia, Mo., and Heather Bilderback of Columbia, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren, Gracie Swallows of Dexter, Caleb Swallows of Puxico, Darian Bilderback and Alexis Bilderback of Ashland, Mo., Emma Willis and Audra Willis of Columbia, Mo., Sierra Bilderback, Jennifer Bilderback and Aiden Freidin all of Columbia, Mo.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Sherry Ellen Bilderback; two brothers, Gene Locke and James Lewis; and two sisters, Doris Gaebler and Lois Marcell.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 5-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. with Rev. Phil Warren officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
