Dolores June McConnell Duck, 75, died in Avon Park, Fla., on Aug. 14, 2011. She was born in Malden, Mo., on July 27, 1936 to the Reverend Cecil H. and Nancy Sarah (Predeau) McConn-ell. She had lived in Avon Park since 2006 having moved there from Jackson, Mo. She had served as the Executive Director of the General Baptist Women's Ministries and was of the General Baptist faith. Her life's passions were her family, her friends and the work of the kingdom of God.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Bill J. Duck; her daughters, Susan Duck Bennett and her husband Rick, Maynan Duck Christian and her husband Leotis; her grandson, Ricky Bennett and his wife Elizabeth; her granddaughter, Sarah Christian; and her great-grandsons, Luke and Joshua Bennett. She is also survived by her brother, C.H. McConnell; and ten nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Cecil Henry and Nancy Sarah McConnell; her brother, William Joseph "Billy Joe" McConnell; and sister, Nancy Sue McConnell King.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011 at the First General Baptist Church, 1812 Cape LaCroix Road, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63701.

Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service from 12:30 -- 1:45 p.m. The Reverend Leland Duncan will officiate.

Interment will be on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 at the Piggot Cemetery in Piggott, Ark.
