Pearl Cahow, daughter of the late Hugh and Sadie Hankins Hester, was born in Tennessee on March 31, 1915, and died at the Advance Nursing Center in Advance, Mo., on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at the age of 96.

She had lived in Dexter for the last 40 years. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She was married to Casper Claud Cahow in Caruthersville, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1955.

Surviving are her son Delbert Cahow of Advance, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons Samuel Cahow and William Cahow; one brother Lloyd Hester; and one sister: Elenora Sawyer.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, after 6 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.

Funeral services will be conducted onSaturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Chaplain John Nimmo of Cape Girardeau, Mo., officiating.

Interment will be in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
