Alvin Temples, Jr., son of Cinda Miller Temples of Dexter, Mo. and the late Alvin (Jim) Temples Sr., was born on Jan. 8, 1953 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. and died on Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 at his residence in Dexter at the age of 58.

Mr. Temples attended Mt.. Calvary in Poplar Bluff, Mo. and was an employee of International Soils Consultants, and was a resident of Dexter.

Alvin was the founding member of Duck Buster Inc., sponsor of Ducks Unlimited; he also volunteered for Land O'Lakes and Missouri Farmers Union.

Besides his mother, Cinda Miller Temples of Dexter, survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Nathan L. Temples and Linda of Dexter; one daughter and son-in-law, Wendy Steinbecker and Keith of St. Louis, Mo.;; one grandson, Bode Steinbecker of St. Louis, Mo.; also two sisters,, Debbie Temples and Becky Kyle, both of Dexter.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
