Flora Louise Hodge, daughter of the late George and Orpha Leon Cookson Stovall, was born in Puxico, Mo. on Jan. 17, 1928, and died at her home in Puxico, Mo. on Sept. 6, 2011, at the age of 83.

Mrs. Hodge was a lifelong resident of the Puxico area. She was a faithful member of the Egypt Community Church. She loved painting and gardening. She worked for many years as a store clerk at Cliff's Markets and as a cook for Puxico Public Schools.

She was married to Floyd L. Hodge on Jan. 11, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. He survives at their home in Puxico.

She is also survived by one daughter, Sherry Ann Wayne Burchett of Puxico; two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one sister, Sara Joyce McCoy of Dexter. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceding in death by three brothers; Dewayne, Leon, and Elvis Eugene Stovall, and one sister Wilma Stovall.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, after 6 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico, Mo.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with the Rev. Wayne Burchett of Puxico, Mo. officiating.

Interment will be in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
