Janice E. Jackson, daughter of the late Jolly Warren and Lola Rice Warren was born on April 7, 1943 in Bernie, Mo. and died on Sept. 27, 2011 at the Land-mark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. at the age of 68.

Mrs. Jackson was a former teacher at the Dexter Head Start for 34 years, a member of the Bernie Church of Christ, and a resident of rural Dexter.

On Jan. 4, 1964 she was united in marriage to Don Jackson in Bernie. Mr. Jackson survives of the home in rural Dexter.

Other survivors include one son, Jerry Jackson of Dexter, Mo.; one daughter Vicki Peters of Dexter, Mo.; two brothers, JR Warren of West Plains, Mo. and Jackie Warren of Sikeston, Mo.; three sisters, Betty Voss of Glendon, N.C., Margie Greenwood of Mission, Texas; Judy Schwegler of Bossier City, La.; also four grandchildren, Quintin Jackson of St. Louis, Mo., Sarah Jackson, Lauren Peters, and Emily Peters all of Dexter, Mo.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Warren and Dorthella Bosma.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Stan Dauck, officiating. Inter-ment will follow in the Smith-Stevenson Ceme-tery.
