Mary "Iola" Presser

Mary "Iola" Presser, daughter of the late Stephen Albert Pyland and Lillie Demetra Stewart Pyland, was born May 26, 1917, in Monette, Ark., and died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Home in Dexter, Mo. at the age of 94.

On March 28, 1942, Mrs. Presser was united in marriage to Broadus Lee Presser in Monette Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1995.

Mrs. Presser was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Dexter, Mo.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by two sons and their wives; Stephen Lee and Deborah Presser, of Atlanta, Ga., and William and Tina Presser of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; one daughter and husand, Sandra Lynne and Kenneth Kingree of Bloomfield, Mo.; one sister, Wanda Lea Barringer of Olive Branch, Miss.; six grandchildren, Kristie Battles of Bloomfield, Mo., Stephanie Hawkins of Brentwood, Tenn., Laura Becker of Bloomfield, Mo., Todd Presser of Atlanta, Ga., Brent Presser of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Mark Presser of Marietta Ga.; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held on Wed., Oct. 26, 2011, at the Bradshaw Chapel in Malden at 1 p.m., with Travis Quertermons officiating.

Interment will take place at Memorial Garden Cemetery at Kennett, Mo.
