Nolan Walker

Nolan Walker, son of the late William E. Walker and Elvira Burnett Walker, was born on Dec. 29, 1940, in Dexter, Mo., and died on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Mo., at the age of 70.

Mr. Walker was a superintendent at Huffman Construction in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and a resident of Dexter, formerly of Bloomfield, Mo.

On Dec. 18, 1961, he was united in marriage to Linda Midgett in Bloomfield, Mo. Mrs. Walker survives at their home in Dexter, Mo.

Besides his wife, other survivors include two daughters, Tracy Walker of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Holly K. Frymire and husband Steve of Bloomfield, Mo.; three brothers, Bill Walker of St. Charles, Mo., Benny Walker and Ralph Walker, both of Wappa-pello, Mo.; six sisters, Tina Rainey of St. Louis, Mo., Barbara McMulln of O'Fallon, Mo., Wanda Cobb of Kentucky, June Bollinger of Bloomfield, Mo., Judy Duncan of Florida, and Rita LaVern Turner of Kentucky; three grand-children, Niki Shott, Alesha Phillips, and Hunter Frymire; and three great-grandchildren, Kilee Shott, Kashlee Shott, and Nolan Phillips.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Walker, and by one sister, Maxine Simms.

Visitation will take place at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo., from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011.

Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, with Rev. Mike Rodgers and Rev. Sam Rodgers officiating. Inter-ment will follow at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
