Dan Lacy, son of the late Daniel M. and Daisy Irene Roper Lacy, was born in Circle City, Mo. on Sept.5, 1938, and died at his home in Sweet Springs, Mo. on Nov. 3, 2011, at the age of 73.
He had lived in the Sweet Springs, Mo. area for many years. He had worked as an automobile mechanic for the state of Missouri.
On June 13, 1967, he was married to Carolyn Clark.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Lacy of Sweet Springs; two sons, Daniel C. Lacy, Jr. of Circle City, Mo., John Allen Lacy of Foster, Ind.; three daughters, Belinda Goodman of Bloomfield, Mo., Cindy Determan of Republic, Mo., Ginger Snapp of Sedalia, Mo.. 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Annie Bell Hutto, of Blytheville, Ark. Other relatives and many friends also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Calvin Lacy.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, after 12 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Mo. with Pastor Don Hutto of Piedmont, Mo. officiating.
Interment will be in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Mo., with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Mo. in charge of arrangements.
