Bill Shaver, 62, son of Al Shaver and Wilma Wilson Shaver of Dexter, Mo.,

was born on Jan. 9, 1949, in Gray-ridge, and died on Nov. 6, 2011, at St. Luke's Episcopal Health System in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Shaver was a former member of the Missouri Army National Guard, a truck driver for Allied Alliance Systems, and a 1967 Dexter High School graduate.

On June 24, 1978, he was united in marriage to Peggy Wiseman in Dexter. She survives at their home in Spring, Texas.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons, Bradley, and wife Caryn, Shaver of Sandusky, Ohio, and Brandon Shaver of Spring, Texas; by one daughter, Ashley Shaver of Waco, Texas; by one brother, Leonard "Speedy" Shaver of New York City, N.Y.; by one sister, Lynn, and husband Ron, Newton of Sikeston, Mo.; by six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will take place at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo., on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, from

1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at 3 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with Rev. Joshua Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
