Myrul Jean Pullum, daughter of Willie Whitehead and Nellie Mae Loyd, was born in Bernie, Mo. on Jan. 24, 1936, and died in Sikeston, Mo. on Dec. 6, 2011, at the age of 75.
She had lived in Essex, Mo. most all of her life. She loved reading her Bible, spending time with her family and working in her garden.
On Sept. 12, 1952 she was married to Oscar Leo Pullum in Bernie, Mo.
Surviving are her husband, Oscar Leo Pullum, of Essex;; four sons; Leon Pullum of Bloomfield, Mo., Richard Pullum, of Essex, Mo. James and Tony Pullum, both of Dexter, Mo.; one daughter, Kathy Miller of Portageville, Mo.; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four sisters; Lucille Herron, Rose Landry, Mary Daniels, and Nina Wolfe; five brothers, Tom Trammel, Jerry Trammel, Robert Trammel, Denny Trammel, and Ricky Trammel.
Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Duncan and one brother, Bill Trammel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, after 5 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at 11a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo. with Rev. Jerry Willer of Whitewater, Mo. officiating.
Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, Mo. with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
