Thelma Lindsay, daughter of the late Albert Creed and Mary Swinger Creed, was born on Feb. 27, 1919, in Essex, Mo., and died at the Golden Living Center in Dexter, Mo., on Dec.10, 2011, at the age of 92.

Mrs. Lindsay was a former L.P.N. at Vintage Villa Nursing Home in Dexter, a member of the Taylor General Baptist Church in Essex, Mo., and a resident of Dexter.

On Sept. 28, 1934, she was united in marriage to Thelmer Lindsay in Piggott, Ark. Mr. Lindsay preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1960.

Survivors include one son, Harold Lindsay, of Dexter; one sister, Lucille Lawrence, of Windfall, Ind.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and

several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Norma Cox and Celia Peck; by one brother, Walter Creed; and by one sister, Chloteel Middleton.

Visitation took place

at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with Rev. Dewight Hensley officiating.

Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
