Jimmy Hester, son of Beryl Irene Burroughs Hester and the late James Victor Harris, was born in Berry St. Edmunds, England, on Feb., 28, 1957, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo., on Jan., 7, 2011, at the age of 59.
On Sept., 15, 2007, he married Judy Kay Warren-Harris in Dexter, Mo.
Surviving are his wife, Judy; one son, James Hillis, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one daughter, Kayla Hester, of Dexter, Mo.; his mother, Beryl Hester, of Dexter, Mo.; and one sister, Donna Irene Shaver, of Dexter, Mo.
Other family and many friends also survive.
Mr. Hester was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter. He worked at Purolater in Dexter until his retirement. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of the Dexter Eagles.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan., 12, 2012, at the First Assembly of God Church, and a memorial service will follow at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Mike Kohlbaker of Dexter officiating.
