Jimmy Hester, son of Beryl Irene Burroughs Hester and the late James V. Hester, was born in Bury St. Edmunds, England, on Feb. 28, 1957, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo., on Jan. 7, 2012, at the age of 54.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dexter. He worked at Purolator in Dexter for many years until his retirement. Jimmy served in the US Air Force. He was a member of the Dexter Eagles Lodge.

On Sept. 15, 2007, he was married to Judy Kay Warren - Harris in Dexter, Mo.

Surviving are his wife Judy; one son, James Hillis of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Kayla Hester of Dexter; his mother, Beryl Irene Hester of Dexter; and one sister, Donna Irene Shaver of Dexter. Other family and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, James V. Hester.

Visitation was held at Assembly of God Church until service time on Wednesday, Jan. 11. Memorial services were then held Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at 7 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church in Dexter, with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker of Dexter, Mo. officiating.
