Joyce Maxine McQuary, daughter of the late Moy W. Davis and Hortense "Tensey" Farmer Davis, was born on June 30, 1935, in Dexter and died Jan., 21, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield at the age of 76.

Mrs. McQuary was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter, worked as a rural letter carrier and was a resident of Dexter.

On Dec. 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Wayne Howard McQuary in Dexter. Mr. McQuary preceded her in death on November 9, 1997.

She is survived by two sons, Steven McQuary of Malden and Scott McQuary of Jefferson City, Mo.; by two daughters, Sharon Sulzer of Imperial, Mo., and Susan Pullam of Dexter; by three grandchildren, Nicole Sulzer of Imperial, Mo., and Trinity and Tristan Pullam, both of Dexter, and by five great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Davis and Donald Davis.

Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Thursday, Jan., 26, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Jan., 27, 2012, at 10 a.m., in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Michael Woods officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
