Albert B. McGlothlin, 83, of Lakeland, Tenn., died Jan. 18, 2012. He was a retired JCPenney store manager.
Mr. McGlothlin was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Army Occupation of Japan Medal. He served eight years in the Missouri National Guard and was discharged from the Army reserve with the rank of Captain.
He was a past president of the Corbin Rotary Club and the Corbin Chamber of Commerce both of Corbin, Ky., and the Lakeland Civic Club in Lakeland, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom O. and Virginia Smith McGlothlin and a grandson, Chris-topher Faulkner. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Faulkner of Melbourne, Fla.; a son, Douglas McGlothlin of Alexandria, Va.; and a grandson, Michael Faulkner.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, Tenn. Contributions may be sent to Arlington United Methodist Church or Church Health Center.
