Shirley Williams, daughter of Lucille Dunlap Woods of Jonesboro, Ark., and the late Lloyd Woods, was born on Sept. 17, 1938 in Bono, Ark. and died on Feb. 9, 2012 at her residence in Jonesboro, Ark. at the age of 73.

Mrs. Williams was a former resident of Dexter. She was the owner of Saveway Petroleum in Dexter.

On June 27, 1959, she was united in marriage to Sherrill Joe Williams in Dexter. Mr. Williams preceded her in death on June 30, 1994.

Besides her mother, she is survived by two brothers, Loy Woods of Jonesboro, Ark., and Larry Woods of Alicia, Ark.

Besides her husband and father, she was preceded in death by one son, Joe Williams; by one brother, Terry Woods, and by one sister, Sharon Brown.

Visitation will be at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Feb.11, 2012 at noon in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. M.C. Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
