John B. Snyder, age 72, of Dexter died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Mr. Snyder was born Sept. 30, 1939 in Flint, Mich. He was a retired Schneider National truck driver. He lived a full life, seeing the country from coast to coast. He enjoyed spending his last few years with his surviving children and grandchildren.

John joins his parents, Ralph and Opal Snyder, his children, Doris, Jay, and Talley, in the valley of peace and happiness. Surviving are his daughter, Lynn Robey and son-in-law Dewayne Robey; four grandchildren, Jackie Rudd of Dexter, Rachel Robey of North Carolina, Sara and Bill Savat of Poplar Bluff, Kayce Snyder of Dexter, Misty, Angie, Dawn, Robert and Justin; four great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Layton of Dexter, Gaige, Jaydan, and Jacob. Also three sisters, Carla McCall of Ariz., Mary and Sue Anna, both of Michigan, survive.

John donated his body to Science Care in Arizona for medical research. The familiy will receive his ashes in a few weeks. A wake will be held at the home of Lynn and Dewayne Robey.
